Yes I hope for your sakes by then conditions will have improved. Every cadet coming into the company should immediately be placed on a direct contract and receiving a basic salary.

The new guys won't be affecting the battle the current pilots are having with management however it wouldn't take long for a freeze of people joining to change things all round. Currently it's 60+ new entrants per month (so probably around 150 interviewed) all willing to pay for type ratings and go unpaid for months. Unfortunately they won't need to change their behaviour towards cadets with this endless supply. I'm not saying you should be the one to say no because of course there'll be someone behind you in the queue to step in and take your place but at some point I do hope they have to start treating people differently one way or another.
