But in anycase, MPL cadets receive the required training for the PPL so it seems a no brainer to add it on to be honest. As far as I know it's addition simply affords a cadet the option to step onto a more traditional route if they ever had to leave the school - to which could occur for any number of reasons. In my eyes it's still a welcome change as it gives you something to show for your hours.
Fantastic news, L3 must have someone making decisions with some sense at last! No more embarrassment for MPL pilots who can fly an Airbus to Malaga but can't actually take their parents for a trip to the isle of wight in a light aircraft.
