I have an RAF pension, a company pension and now state pension (143 a week, due to both the RAF and company pension being opted out), the personal allowance is taken from my RAF pension, to which my state pension is added for tax calculations.

I came out of retirement for 7 months and the tax man has reduced my personal allowance to 4500, as they thought I might breach the 40% threshold, I won't, I pay 20% on all pensions and that does not look like changing anytime soon.
