That's not really what I meant, as you say fully sponsored schemes are seemingly confined to the history books.
I was trying to say, if IAG are stopping this scheme this year, where are they going to find 0.5% next year, or the year after? Remember, Aer Lingus are profitable, there's no need to go on a huge cost cutting drive. For me, Aer Lingus came across as one of the good guys. For IAG to step in and prevent them continuing to do the right thing would be a particularly poor piece of management IMO.
