According to Airbus when the PF asks for ECAM ACTIONS the PM starts with the ECAM or OEB, if applicable. In case of engine fail there's no OEB so we apply the ECAM. Before reading STATUS PF says STOP ECAM...any OEB's, Resets, Checklists? I mentioned it to some of my instructors that we shouldn't say "any OEB's" because the OEB supersedes the ECAM and you never get to STATUS if you are applying an OEB.
All the instructors still think that's a good idea to consider OEB's before reading status. In my previous company if there was an OEB we read it instead of the ECAM. If we applied the ECAM, before STATUS we considered computer resets, normal checklists or Eng relight if applicable.
It was a former procedure in Airbus but it was removed from the flight instructor's media so I don't know why my airline is still applying this old concept? Am I missing something??
