Current wage for 2nd year apprentice adult is $16.80 an hour, works out to $1196 per fortnight net. Do it because you want to not as a career, I'm finishing my college and competency based training this year aged 60 (ahem) something and would be looking at $25 hour when completed as Cert 4 in aeroskills AME (kids at maccas get close to that) but it's something I wanted to do.
