I think what's important is that there's a better vibe around the airport at the moment, with the new routes and improvements inside and out. Of course, it's all small beer compared to other airports, but then it's a small scale airport trying to find a way to grow and make money.
As pax numbers (hopefully) rise the trick will be to keep them flowing into departures with enough time to part with some cash. At least there's no long trek to the gate to factor in. What the airport can't do is start advising pax to turn up 3 hours early.
I may indulge in a glass of Bollinger next time I'm there, but only if they have some jellied eels to go with it.
