I'm permanently based in Mumbai, but temporarily reside now in Ahmedabad. I'm planning to move back to Mumbai some sometime soon, we should meet up once I'm settled back.
As for exams, I've cleared 3: Reg, Met and Nav. All on my first attempt and all through self study. My technical exam is on the 12th and I'm hoping to clear that on the first go as well.
DGCA exams are just rumored to be tough, don't worry about it too much. As long as you take them seriously and study you'll do just fine.
Are you part of any flying club?
EDIT: About medical, I had no problems getting my class II but through my negligence it has now expired and I'm going to have to do it again. As for RTR, I have intentionally left it for the end; to be dealt with once I'm done with exams, as I have no idea how to even approach that part.
