Hooker Creek was a deliberate diversion (perhaps to spice up the filming) to an Aborigine community about which she made the following claim.

Her challenges included scrounging for fuel with the help of Aborigines after an impromptu landing in the Australian outback, and spending a day scraping salt off her propellers after flying over the Timor Sea.

There is no need for "scrounging". The airfield has both Avgas and Jet1!

As for the day scraping salt off the prop in Darwin I dread to think how the local operators cope :-)
