1/ What are the locations for company accommodations ?

2/ Can they ask you to change the location without your consent ?

3/ Is the Starter Package ( 45k ) plus the SUPP. allowances ( 3.3K ) still valid, if you have only the company accommodations "option"? ( EK site still shows the option of opting for your own accommodations )

4/ Is the medical coverage provided limited to EK clinic and/or as per their list of hospitals/clinics ?

5/ Staff travel for our children says NO upgrade if under 13 years old, is that from ECON to BUSINESS or children under 13 are entitled to only economy?

6/ Are family members entitled to a maximum of 2 ID 90 per year only?

7/ Is the Provident Fund guaranteed ?

8/ Is the End Of Service paid in once or per installments ?

Many thanks in advance for your answers.

Regards.
1). Most likely Meydan, but can be absolutely anywhere. Unfortunately history shows families spent 18 months in the red light district in Deira. Hopefully won't happen again but with the current trends who knows.

2). Yes they can move you at short notice without any consideration for your circumstances. Happened to me.

3). Still advertised that way.

4). You can use nominated outside clinics but you may have to fight for certain coverage. Depends on their interpretation of the the treatment and whether it falls under the plan.

5). No upgrade for kids under 13.

6). Not sure of recent policy changes on staff travel so can't help. Immediate family used to be okay with ID90s.

7). YOUR contributions to the provident fund should be untouchable. That's why they are banked in the Isle of Man and subject to Manx law. As long as Manx law is still influenced by its near neighbour your own contributions should be fine. Maybe the Sheikh will build a big resort off the coast of Port Erin though and invest $$$$$ to boost their economy in which case I guess things would change a little. Not likely though 😉

8). End of service is not paid at all if the provident contributions exceed the end of service benefit. The benefit would be paid in full minus any debts you owe in Dubai. The provident fund can be collected in cash on your last day or wired to an offshore account which might be a bit safer as long as you trust the accounts dept to send the money after you've left. Worked fine for me.

ULTIMATELY, accept it for what it is and don't be naive to the fact that you'll be moving to society that is yet to develop (its only 50 or so years old)... If you have even the slightest doubts based on the info provided on this forum don't make the jump based on the chance it 'might' not be the way it's described here. It is what it is.
