As someone who hates litigation and social problems I have to confess he is not on my New Year wish list.
However the old boy deserves respect for his flying exploits in a Cub.
I would never want to fly or drive in such a basic vehicle.
He has pushed that airframe way beyond its design.
For that alone he deserves an award from both the Air League and the LAA.
The Air League awards committee sits on 11 Jan, and notwithstanding that I have not received a formal nomination for him, I have placed Maurice's name on the agenda list for discussion and consideration.
