Frankly, the aeroplane, even in the unlikely event of being recoverable, should be his his least concern.
Very true. We must realize that it is very easy in some parts of the world to fly a plane to a place from which recovery, for even the slightest small event, will not be economically possible. Losing the aircraft to bandits in the scrublands is no different to it sinking after a ditching. When you fly it over these unwelcoming places, you must be prepared (good insurance) that it will be gone forever.
The plane can be replaced, your (and your pax) life and health cannot, take care of that to the exclusion of the plane!
