What "cockpit checklists" are you doing if not the Evacuation checklist? You've aborted (probably because of an almighty bang as the disk let go). The only thing happening then is deciding what to do.
If you decide to evacuate, you
must do the Evacuation checklist, you can't just "shut down and bale out". If you think your Evac checklist has too many items, then get it changed.
