Geez, pick on Hobart!
RWY to be lengthened 500m to allow wide body twins to make Asia with decent load & obviate the need to stop in at the big island for fuel. Support works have commenced but actual RWY extension works have not yet started but will soonish.
International service intent was the requirement to get the project off the ground, as I understand it.
RENURPP, the mainland of Tasmania services the big island to the north, quite well!
