Yes they will consider you. You will get tested in Addis anyway during the training phase or just afterwards. The 767 position is available as well as the 737, when the 767 fleet is put down you have the possibility of a fleet transfer. The 737 pays more due to availability (or necessity) of overtime. People are nice, but the contract has its eccentricities. The level of BS is low compared to other expat contracts, and you'll be treated respectably.
