Aren't NCL due for some of the -300s to become -800s? It's a cheaper way of increasing capacity and I can't imagine the -800s are vastly more expensive to fly than the -300s but with the benefit of an extra 30ish punters in the back could be great for the economics of the base. Initially growing the numbers further without the need to go through the expensive of having an 8th plane.
I think there's less chance of LS shutting the base and operating from cheaper foreign bases which the other LCC at NCL is planning on doing.
