Last week we were cleared to line up on 24R when suddenly clearance was cancelled to allow a Spanish turboprop to take off from the intersection. This was despite us being on a slot. Said aircraft then delayed us for at least 3-4 mins as it was departing along the same track.
If that's not giving priority, I don't know what is!
