The feeling from the Luton folk including me is that WAT-LTN was doing very nicely but Stobarts view that they could simply move the route to SEN to kick start their new airport at SEN without impacting passengers numbers proved to be a disaster. It wasn't helped by the fact that the new terminal was not even open. They then tried out of desperation to operate to both SEN and LTN but but it all ended in tears as the damage was already done.
Not to forget it x4 weekly LTN was scrapped to support SEN flights after they realized it was carried loads exceeding 90% and often booking up 6 weeks in advance of travel and fares more than double SEN!
