I'm not sure that MAN
needs to be connected to the Indian market; much in the same way as I really don't see why BHX
needs to be connected to San Francisco, Boston and the like. Desirable; yes - essential; no.
England (outside London) is too small market to have 2 airports 80 miles apart trying to outdo each other on what are still marginal routes, very much reliant on VFR business.
