Perhaps using the arbitrarily callout "positive climb" gets Airbus observers/"pilots" confused.

In addition, I think we used 'Positive
rates' years ago at one airline. Maybe it was before the IVSI off the IRS and we were supposed to check for both positive vertical speed and altimeter increasing.
