designed and built with no compromise, best technology, best materials, the highest standards of safety and quality, a proud Canadian made
Sure, we've heard that before with Nortel. The best product means nothing if it was designed for the wrong market. And right now, the market Bombardier envisioned doesn't seem to actually exist.

Conventional wisdom says Bombardier Aerospace is "too big" to be allowed to fail, but Nortel was even larger and employed even more Canadians before its spectacular bust.

Although at this point, BlackBerry might be the closer model. The company is still alive but a mere shadow of its former self, selling niche products against two dominant industry players.

There was analysis from Desjardins that if Bombardier can't close a major CSeries deal by summer, the program may be cancelled in its entirety. I think they have more time, but, it is running out.
