The LPL option is twice as long as the MAN direct flight, more expensive, and indirect to AUH on what is already likely to be an onward journey from AUH anyway given its what Etihad do, I honestly don't see MAN loosing any sleep, do you?
I just find it downright unhelpful of LPL to advise intending passengers to use this option. If you asked round the office for the best way LPL-AUH and their advice was a 14h via AMS you would never ask again (?)
