Please note that CASA is in the process of developing a new self service portal. You now have the ability to submit a number of FCL applications/notifications through CASA Self Service and monitor their progress. Then in the coming months, this functionality will be extended to allow you to view the progress of the assessment of all FCL applications and notifications, whether they have been submitted online or by email, fax or hardcopy.
The service delivery timeframes for FCL applications are listed on the CASA website. Please note that these timeframes apply from the date of receipt, not the date of mailing the application. It would be appreciated if you could wait until after the service delivery timeframe has passed before sending an email to query progress with your application.
We are currently experiencing some delays in progressing applications. As of Monday 5 October 2015, we are currently processing applications received on the following dates:
CoVs – 02 September 2015
Overseas conversions – 05 August 2015
Domestic licences- 12 August 2015
Notifications – 23 June 2015
AROCs – 7 September 2015
As of today nearly 2 months delay in CASA processing applications. There must be a huge boom in the number of people applying for pilot licenses. Aviation cant be dead if they are so busy they have a two month backlog.
