Virgin A320 Issue
Having been involved with this aircraft from very early on in it's life, I would like to provide a clarification if I may. While Airfleets shows that the aircraft has had 36 operators this is not completely correct. The aircraft has operated for 36 Airlines while under the control of two airlines from both an operational and maintenance perspective. The first was Transaer from 1993 to 1999 and the second was Airtours which through takeovers and mergers became part of the Thomas Cook group from 2000 to 2010. During the period from 1993 to 2010 the aircraft was fully controlled by these particular airlines on their respective AOC's and Maintenance programs.
