I fully understand these are Honours earned by Service personnel for outstanding service and congratulate the recipients, but the way the RAF says thank you, I also found a little strange at times. They insisted I was going to be awarded a "Good Show" for firing a red from the RWC at an F4 at Leuchars who had forgotten his dangly bits, yes it was shortly after an F4 had gone the whole nine yards and landed wheels up, but I was only doing what I was trained to do and what was expected of me. Caused a hell of stink when I said I wanted nothing to do with said award, even the B-word got involved! I didn't go to any award ceremony, and found out ages later it was awarded in my absence, the framed certificate was hidden in SATCO's office, i guess they knew it would be pointless trying to give it to me, it may still be there!!
