Triggs is a different kettle of fish. She has her own agenda, and it gets played in the media simply because it's 'anti-government'. It just so happens that the current government is LNP. I don't think she's anti-Liberal per se, just anti-Liberal policy.
in the same way that narrow minded (or slightly dim) practitioners only see solutions in terms of their own specialty, be it law, yoga, iridology or herbalism, Triggs sees everything through the lens of her precious international treaties on human rights. these treaties are not the same as Australian law, which is why her silly suggestions for compensation are routinely knocked back. Perhaps Flying Lawyer could explain. Triggs is only there because its proper these days to have a human rights commissioner. shes an embarrassment but like the ABC board or Bill Shorten, is hard to sack.
