Earlier this morning G-GDFU diverted and squawked 7700. It was operating route LS641 from EMA-ALC, and diverted over the English Channel back to the coast, and landed at Gatwick at 07:45BST. The divert was due to a medical emergency (
see here), and she is now back en route, departing at 09:15BST, bound for ALC. The return sector is delayed on departure by around 1 hour, with delay on arrival into EMA of around half an hour. This will push its next sector back, but should make up enough time for an on-time arrival.
