Generalisation ?

After 23 years in Nigeria I beg to differ. In that time I saw my fair share of total fk ups from both expats and Nationals, ranging from the quaintly incompetent to the downright dangerous. I guess that would apply anywhere in the world and therefore to any sort of National/expat.

"Black and white" is definitely not an adequate way to describe Nigeria or Africa et al, whatever area of expertise is being practised, despite the obvious parallels that can be drawn from skin tone.

I came across a lot of extremely intelligent, capable, well balanced Nigerians, many of whom remain my very good friends. Same applies to expats.

After the banking crisis, Euro crisis, Greek economic situation, U.S. Debt mountain and so on I hardly think anyone is in a position to criticise the mismanagement or stealing ? Of course, we can wring our hands and discuss............

Just my two penneth.
