That email would make any political
PR spin doctor proud.
It had very little substance and it's no different to a political party in crisis with their
PR department issuing a press statement to buy them more time. The results were an embarrassment to the company, which is why we will never know the actual results, as they promised. That is even more reason why such an email is not acceptable and especially so when it has taken them months to respond.
As the old adage goes - 'actions speak louder than words'.
