Skytrans collapse; The truth coming out?

A mate of mine up North sent me the below link from an article in The Australian. It does seem somewhat odd that Skytrans are blaming the Aussie dollar and loss of the TMR contract for their collapse, yet their financial issues started back in 2011? It's also interesting when you look at the scope of how these contracts are awarded, the assessment criteria is split between the airlines reliability, safety and financial viability. All three of these components have been questioned in recent times.
It would be nice to see the truth and facts about the collapse brought out rather than emotive here say and speculation. Skytrans threads seem to get shut down on a very regular basis (nepotism?) so hopefully this one wil stay open if all the kids play nice. This is a significant aviation event particularly for dependant North Queenslanders.
