As a non-pilot, is it possible to safely land a presumably almost empty 747 at Albion Park, and once in, is there any way to fly it out?
It seemed hairy enough to me making a few trips in the Qantas Dash 8 before that service was cancelled.
Shouldn't be a problem. Longreach is comparable, and higher, and hotter and they managed to land a classic there a few years back. The classic also had to have enough fuel on board for a diversion to Brisbane.
Once it's in there though. It's there to stay.
