And in case anyone wants to start on 777 or 787 or whatever, other aircraft may be able to do the range, but not with the product. There are a large number of premium seats on the A380 which would not be provided on alternative machines. (bonus for economy people - they can stretch out)
I agree with noip, the reality is, the A380 is a good aircraft of which Qantas has 12, the 777/87 is not available to even compare. So why does everyone bag it so much on here? The A380 is a strength for LH not a weakness.
It bothers me how successful the Boeing spin machine has been in bagging the "Guppy" where their version, the 748 has been a disaster for sales, a lot worse than the A380.
We should all support the A380, it provides and delivers a great product. After all, right or wrong (well documented fleet management mistakes aside on this thread) it is perceived as the LH flagship by the punters.
