The ex-BMI 321s operated out of BHD before, while in their old colours. They had some modification made to the brakes (I think something in software rather than any physical changes), but then operated quite happily.

I think they may also have required brake fans to assist cooling on the short turn around due to high brakes temps generated during rollout. BA's A321's operate into ABZ so as you say they are well capable of handling BHD.
