Calmcavoc, I did call the airline but they was less than useful and normally Pprune can be the ideal place for answers.
queenvic, I take your point of view but the problems are only in the East of Ukraine, the rest of the country is business as usual and my last few flights have all been busy with very few seats left.
Anyway we managed to get on the Monday evening flight from Luton with Wizzair, had to pay more because of having to use the train, but at least we will be back in time for work on Wednesday.
