I think that would be the greatest tribute of all. Flatten it. Recycle all the steel, concrete, hard-core and tarmac.
Re plant the fields, lay some hedges, meadows, woodland.
Place a simple stone in memory of the past.
Would like to see that done with all the ex WW2 eyesores.
