This seems a bit odd. They loaded the plane then locked up the airport and went home? And nobody was on call?
What if there had been a fire on board? Would everyone have to sit on the tarmac until the brigade put it out and then climb back aboard the smoldering wreakage until the day shift got in?
I'd be interested to hear what actually happened....
