Doesn't make a lot of sense to me - Aurigny buying a 195. Paid for 100% by the Guernsey taxpayer, buying (not leasing) a single aircraft jet "fleet" using a very niche 195 with debatable resale value on a 40 min route from a shortish runway.
They could have added another horrible ATR, however the Q400 is the perfect aircraft.
Also from March next year a monopoly so fares will rocket - Easyjet are taking over the Jersey slots but Guernsey gets to keep "the islands favourite airline" yeh right.
