There is also a similar article mentioning the beach crash as well as a near miss with an ALPNG Dash 8. It seems the aircraft has been all over the place with no flight plans or radio calls so tipping up on the beach may be one of the better possible outcomes. Has been seen based in Bulolo looking quite tired on the VH register. Worn light brown markings. Where the Avgas would come from to do all this is a mystery but maybe it was just gas, seems to have been operating well outside the box.
