Have a gander at what SQ is doing to the Expat Captains...leave our island now...don't come back, we don't need you. Foreigners not welcome! I know quite a few guys who have been "dumped" and let go after years of dedicated service to the mighty SIA. Scoot does not pay any allowances outside of a basic salary. To try to live and survive in Singapore without a housing or schooling allowance...it will leave you out of cash at the end. LOCAL terms only. I suppose if a guy is out of work or wants to pay for a 777 ticket, it might be a place to start. Just not for me. SQC is much the same...rolling rosters, local contracts and sh*tty terms. The only difference is that they let the ones who will do as they're told stay.
