I am really enjoying the discussion. It is a pity that there are not more of them like this on PPRuNe.
One of the statements that caught my eye -
.... it should be reported to the regulators
A generalization I know, but sometimes there seems to be as much
misplaced faith in the regulators getting it right, as there is in the automatics getting it right.
