In some bases FO are flying 20-25 hrs.
Apparently the cadet intake for 2013 will be less than half of 2012, and no more applications from April 2013...
For the safety pilot release it depends...minimum is 12 sectors, what I heard is because FO are flying so few hrs some ltc tend to release cadets a bit later in order to give the opportunity of earning something to the local FO's doing safety pilot.
that's a rumor!
