"The 800 has better take off performance than the 20k 300's, but is more limited for landing. I would have thought a 700 would be a better fit at Blackpool and Leeds - the take off performance of an 800 but the size and landing performance of a 300. "
Must admit I'm surprised that having started to aquire -800s that they haven't looked at some -700s especially as they seem to be storing/scrapping 7-10 year old -700s at the moment. Guess they are worth more parted than sold to airlines like Jet2. Given how well the -300s last the 700s must have loads of decent life left in them. Sad really!
