hampshireandy- Thanks for you invaluable input.

rareair- I didn't go for a cheap fare and expect a full price product. Surely the headline fare is the full price fare and the flexi an additional superior product. That aside at the time of my booking there was only one fare available and that is what I took. £200 return from Luton to Paris. There was no Flexi fare offered.

I wasn't complianing about anything I thought I was just asking 2 questions.

1. How come the refund policy's differ are there no set rules?

2. Why is it £9 per booking at Easyjet and £35 per changed sector?

I did call customer services and was told that Easyjet offer a no refund policy. I asked what other options I had and was told that I could cancel the flight but would get no refund, or I could change the flight for a fee. I then asked what happened with my taxes at which point I was then told that I could get a refund of the taxes which totalled £17.04. I went ahead with this option but I find the scripted wording terrible it was made to sound as though there was nothing that I could get back until I specifically asked about taxes. I believe many people wouldn't have asked and would have missed out.
