You asked: Easyjet are good enough to allow me to change my tickets for a fee. But this fee is £35 per sector so £70 for a return flight meaning that it is more expensive than just buying a fresh ticket. How is £70 per rtn flight justified I have to do all the work and a standard booking charge is £9. So why is it so inflated for a change?
They offer two products. The headline cheap fares and a changeable "flexi" fare it sounds like you went for the cheap option then expect the full price product.
Check condition 6.5 regarding the APD.
