Wrong incident Fisbang
The Edinburgh Cessna involved 2 fatalities, one of whom was Hugh Allen. I was a Staff Cadet at 12 Air Experience Flight at Turnhouse at the time and remember the Boss there talking about it the day after it happened and relating that they had scrubbed flying on the day of the crash as the weather was bad with extensive low cloud, drizzle, and mist.
The one you are thinking of was (I think) a Grumman Traveller from Dundee back to Prestwick. Might have been G-BERL. There were 2 or 3 NATS staff on board plus one other, one of the ATC staff suffered burns.
