This contract is notorious for being given to a different operator at every renewal. It could be argued that bmiR is a different operator, however.
With 9 spare aircraft you would hope so....

With aircraft being owned rather than leased it would make sense to have a hot and a cold spare.
bmi regional will cease to be a part of bmi diamond club from 30 September.
It was my understanding that Diamond Club ceases to exist completely after that date, as all mainline DC members have now been absorbed into Avios/BAEC. This leaves bmiR with no FFP.
