@ CC, it is company policy to pick up minimum fuel on the NBO - MBA sector, both to and from, even though fuel is cheaper in Mombasa, its only by a shilling and a couple cents, to tanker out of MBA on a 733, you will need to carry an extra say 3.5 tons of fuel, according to company manuals your burn off is increased by 4% per tonne of extra fuel, per hour of flight time, so for a 45 min flight out of MBA increase in burn off by about 100kg, that means you are paying about 7800kshs extra for your burn off to carry an extra 3.5 tons which if you uplifted in Nairobi would cost you about kshs 5,000 more, doesn't make economical sense, so its always min FP fuel both ways unless there are known anticipated delays, weather etc
