Ok, what crazy m
er negotiated max duty lasting over 2 days straight? I bet it put money in the pockets of many - pre freighter - in some calculated way. Never was there fear of ACTUALLY being on duty for more than 16-18 hours. Now, not the case. FTLs work fine for scheduled passenger operations, but the freighter system is a different animal. We need duty limit changes and duty credit for sitting in hotel rooms away from home. I don't mind working productively into overtime if needed, but endless hours in hotel rooms and crew bunks with no compensation (and for those of you who think 150 a day in ANC is worth a day away from home is comp - get your head checked) is no way to go forward. We need a rider to the current FTLs for freighter flying.
