Whilst being in any alliance would be good for Bmir, it is not always as good as it is made out to be. The larger carriers may well codeshare but it also means any tickets (assuming Bmir keep the current bmi interline agreements) will be on the issuing carrier's tickets, therefore Bmir would not get any revenue for seats sold until after the passenger has travelled. So , yes, they would get a good number of seats sold by the other alliance carriers but would not have immediate access to the revenue....something which I think they will need
