The dross that the BBC puts out nowadays because it is 'popular' is an appalling contrast to many of the quality programmes it puts out.
Not that I am a fan of Strictly-esque programs (I, like you find them nothing short of dreadful), however, you can't slag off the beeb for catering for the masses as opposed to the artistically educated few.. They have a business to run, not a special needs charity.

It is a fair point made above, whilst normally we like to aportion blame to Bernie or Sky, this time around the blame lies squarely with the beeb. I for one find it ridiculous that you can have 3 football highlights shows per weekend, presented by highly paid, so-called former stars, yet a maximum of 2 F1 races per month is a stretch??
